Learn How To Make Andhra Style Tomato Dal Recipe From Our Chef Lakshmi Only On Variety Vantalu. <br /> <br />Make this simple, quick and easy popular Recipe of Tomato Dal at your home and share with us your experiences in the comments section below. <br /> <br />Ingredients:- <br />1 cup Pigeon Pea (Toor dal)(కందిపప్పు) <br /> 250 grm Tomatoes <br /> Water as required <br /> Salt To Taste <br /> Turmeric <br /> <br />For tempering:- <br />2 tbsp Oil <br />1 tsp Mustard seeds <br />1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds <br />8-10 Curry Leaves <br />3 Red Chillies <br />Asafoetida <br />3 Slit Green Chillies <br />Coriander leaves <br /> <br />Method:- <br />- Dry roast the Toor dal for about 4 to 5 minutes, Don't roast it too much, just roast it until it gives an aroma. <br />- Wash the Toor Dal. <br />- Add 250 grms Chopped Tomatoes and washed dal into the pressure cooker and cook them with 2 cups of water for about 3 whistles. <br />- Once Pressure cooker has cooled down, check the dal is cooked properly or not. <br />-For the final tempering, add oil and heat it. <br />- Once the oil is nice and hot add Mustard seeds, Fenugreek seeds, Asafoetida, Red Chillies, Slit Green Chillies, Curry Leaves. <br />-Once it splutters pour the cooked dal into the pan. <br />-Mix it properly and add salt, turmeric. <br />-Garnish it with coriander leaves.
